At the Camp Nou, FC Barcelona took the final eight places in a stunning 5-2 defeat to Lyon. The audience was stunned to see their mind-blowing performance in this season’s Champions League. Barcelona could have achieved the lead within two minutes, two first-half goals came from Henry, an astonishing goal from Messi, it wasn’t enough that Eto gave one more goal. Due to their early lead, Lyon could not manage the lead with goals late in the early and early second half. When Barcelona faced an almost dying period, they held their lead and stepped up with a shot from Keita. Again after the FC Barcelona midfield handled the match, they comfortably grabbed a big win.
Who is FC Barcelona new signing?
The only Spanish side, Villareal, made in the Quarter-finals, and four England squad made the cut. Guardiola, in 11th position, Valdes in goal, the four main players who were guarded were Alves, Pique, Marquez and Sylvinho. Toure, Xavi and Iniesta form the midfield. Henry, Eto, Messi are an aggressive trio. FC Barcelona initially took command of the match, but were unable to break through the Lyon defense. It was a matter of 15 minutes that the match took very well. After intercepting a bad pass from Lyon, Iniesta hit a fine ball at Eto which was pulled down by the Lyon fans as an effect he hit quite high.
This is just a preview of what will happen. In the next 25 minutes, Marquez plays the ball for Benzema who in turn grabs a hard ball with Henry in front of the defense. Without mistakes, Henry led 1-0 and totaled 2-1. Two minutes later Henry threw a hard punch to increase the tally to 2-0. From the left, Eto sensitively plays the ball to Xavi in midfield. Xavi hits the ball to release Henry to his left in the box, who unmistakably hits the ball low under the keeper. Messi is prepared to show his abilities in the 40th minute. Messi on the right takes a long ball from Pique, who takes the ball and, with all his intelligence, misses the three defenders after which he kicks the ball at Eto. Eto played it for Messi who pulled the ball low under the plunging keeper.
It was the lucky 43rd minute as Eto took a 4-0 lead when Henry escaped victorious from Boumsong who missed a crucial interception. In the next minute, Lyon pulled back from a header from Makoun who was getting higher above everyone in defense and proved Barca’s failure to survive. Lyon scored one more goal in the second half and in the 48th minute, Juninho gave good hope of surviving by making it 4-2. Delgado received a free from Iniesta to the right and Benzma dared Juninho’s apparently goal. Lyon tried hard to disrupt Barca’s rhythm, but insisted it was useless as Barca returned to their nerve and took it once again.
The Lyon goalkeeper denied Henry got a hat-trick in the 59th minute.
After Xavi fretted with Bojan, Bojan was denied by the goalkeeper in the 90th minute. Juninho was sent off for the second booking, Xavi played with a great ball to Keita in the 94th minute, who escaped the keeper and with a high win, the ball made his goal into the net to take Barca to 5-2. The early half played very well with some weaknesses in defense. Iniesta and Xavi played an imperial match and challenged taking the stress of defense. Henry gives a special approach to the match and so is Eto back on the score sheet. Now it’s a perfect match in which Barca won 5-2.
